We’re in the Quadrant . . . (the Magic Quadrant!)

Now that we’ve given you an earworm guaranteed to last all day, we’ve got big news to share: Gartner has positioned Approva in the “Visionaries” quadrant of its “Magic Quadrant” for Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM).
A press release on the categorization is here, and it’s got all the nitty-gritty on all the factors went into Gartner’s analysis. A full copy of the report can be found here, and just what it takes to be listed as a visionary can be found here (basically, visionary companies are aligned with where Gartner sees a market evolving).
We know better than to take this an endorsement of our products – Gartner doesn’t do that. But the very fact that Gartner just released its first Magic Quadrant for continuous controls monitoring is a milestone. It puts CCM on the map. And Gartner’s evaluation also underscores the changes that have taken place in GRC in the past year or so, as companies begin to shift efforts from a siloed, piecemeal approach focused on policy documentation toward automated solutions that work in real-time to monitor whether companies are actually following all of those policies. Continuous Controls Monitoring is growing in importance – and if we do say so ourselves – it’s pretty exciting to be leading the charge.
