It’s been a busy week for the SEC, what with removing the reconciliation requirement for non-U.S. companies, reaching a $30M settlement with Chevron over alleged corruption and stepping up enforcement efforts.
Elsewhere in DC, there’s been ongoing fallout from the $20M allegedly embezzled from employees of the District’s Office of Tax and Revenue. The feds have gotten involved, with five arrests so far.
And news from Sun that it is going to be acquiring Vaau. More on what to watch for from our own Ian Glazer.
